HISTORY OF DAHIKMAH

In 1991, a hostel for Orphans and the Poor was established in Gopeng, Perak on 32 acres of land. The land and
basic buildings are financed from the salary pool, service reward money, and pension of the founder's husband
and wife, namely the late Cikgu Haji Din bin Kimi and Cikgu Hajjah Embun bte Muhammad Ali.
The first session of student recruitment at this hostel began in 1992.

The experience of the two founders in the field of education opens up their desire to guide orphans and poor
children based on monotheism to form and build knowledgeable people, have faith, have skills,
and have noble character. This effort was also helped by their 11 children.

Until now, this complex is known as the Dahikmah Orphans and Poor Children's Welfare Organization
which until now has 45 students, 3 childcare workers, and 10 full-time staff.

The Administrative Committee of Dahikmah from time to time recruits new staff who are qualified
and whose character is suitable for the needs of caring for orphans.

Alhamdulillah at this time, all needs & financing are also financed from the collection and fisabilillah
donations from benefactors. However, there are still many orphans and poor
children who need our help and also a conducive learning environment.

Therefore, the Dahikmah Organization Management Board is very grateful for the moral and material
support from benefactors that have been received so far and hope that it will continue to meet
the needs of the children here.
